Condition monitoring & Vibration testing
Condition monitoring of rotating machinery is key to preventive maintenance and to minimise downtime of the machines. Condition monitoring enables early diagnosis of the impending faults such as unbalance, misalignment, looseness, rubs, etc. Tejas team has vast experience in condition monitoring of equipment through analysis of signals acquired during operation of the machines.
Testing methods include:
- Natural frequency test through impact hammer (bump) test
- Experimental modal testing
- Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) analysis to identify faults based on frequency signature
- Order tracking analysis
- Run up / coast down analysis
- Short Time Fourier Transform (STFT) analysis of signal to identify frequency sources in time domain
- Rotor balancing in single and multiple planes
